AMD begins production ramp of 256-core EPYC Venice — first 2nm HPC chip claims 70% performance leap

AMD says its 6th Gen EPYC Venice server CPU has entered production ramp on TSMC’s 2nm-class N2 process.

Venice is expected to ship commercially later this year and can scale up to 256 Zen 6 cores, with AMD claiming up to a 70% gain over EPYC Turin.

The chip brings a new SP7 platform with more memory and CPU-GPU bandwidth, aimed at high-performance data center workloads.

AMD also pointed to follow-on Verano and eventual manufacturing in Arizona, underscoring its broader server roadmap.
