Logitech will pull a Nintendo — only European mice will come with replaceable batteries

Logitech will launch Europe-specific wireless mice with user-replaceable hard-pack batteries ahead of an EU battery rule taking effect in 2027.

Outside Europe, the company plans to keep selling mice with sealed batteries.

Logitech says the split design reflects safety, weight, and its expectation that few users will want to self-repair.

The company is also reviewing how many spare wear-and-tear parts it should offer for mice.
