AI Meets Quantum Computing and the Predictions Get Scarily Accurate

UCL researchers combined quantum computing with AI to improve prediction of chaotic systems.

A quantum computer was used to extract stable features, then a conventional AI model was trained on them.

The hybrid approach improved accuracy by about 20% and remained more stable over longer forecasts.

It also used hundreds of times less memory than standard methods, boosting efficiency.

The work, published in Science Advances, could aid climate, engineering, medicine, and energy modeling.
