The future of Samsung's Galaxy Books might look more like Android

Samsung is reportedly developing a new Galaxy Book lineup across low-, mid-, and flagship tiers.

The laptops may ditch ChromeOS for Google’s Android-based AluminumOS, possibly tied to Android 17 and One UI 9.

Google could discuss the platform at I/O 2026, with Samsung potentially using Snapdragon X Elite or Exynos chips.

If accurate, the move would push Samsung and Google closer to an Android-centered laptop experience that competes more directly with Windows and Mac.
