New lawsuit alleges unpatchable Apple chip exploit was developed using stolen trade secrets

Magnet Forensics has sued Paradigm Shift Technology, alleging its usbliter8 Apple chip exploit was built using stolen confidential work from a former engineer.

The dispute centers on an unpatchable BootROM flaw affecting older Apple chips, including A12 and A13 devices.

Magnet says Paradigm Shift ignored cease-and-desist demands and is seeking damages plus an injunction to stop further use or disclosure.
