A U.S. judge allowed authors’ copyright lawsuit against Nvidia to move forward.

Judge Jon Tigar rejected Nvidia’s bid to dismiss claims involving the NeMo Megatron Framework.

The court said the challenged scripts may have been designed mainly to speed infringement, not just user misuse.

The case centers on datasets allegedly derived from Bibliotik, Books3, and The Pile.
