Workspace Intelligence is Google's agentic AI era for true assistance with Gemini

Google unveiled Workspace Intelligence at Cloud Next 2026, an agentic AI layer that uses Gemini to understand context across Workspace apps and help users create, edit, summarize, and organize work.

New Gemini-powered features are coming to Docs, Slides, Sheets, Chat, and Gmail, including AI-generated visuals, cross-app analysis, chat assistance, meeting scheduling, and file finding.

Gmail is also getting an AI Inbox that prioritizes important emails, aiming to cut down on routine work and speed up collaboration.

The updates could make Google Workspace a much more capable AI productivity suite, though some features are limited to paid tiers like Google AI Ultra.
