Nvidia in talks with OpenAI over $250 billion payment guarantees for Ohio data center

Nvidia is reportedly discussing a roughly $250 billion guarantee to support OpenAI’s 10-gigawatt data center project in southern Ohio.

The guarantee would help finance data center leasing and construction, while chip costs would be handled separately.

The talks involve SoftBank and could make the massive AI infrastructure buildout easier to fund and execute.
