Sony Says It Has Secured Enough RAM for All the PS5s It Expects to Sell This Year

Sony says it has enough memory chips to support the PS5 sales volume it expects through fiscal 2026.

The company did not say whether PS5 prices will rise again, leaving pricing plans unclear.

First-quarter PS5 sales fell to 1.6 million units from 2.5 million a year ago, though overall profit rose on tariff refunds and favorable exchange rates.

PS5 lifetime shipments reached 95.3 million units, and PlayStation monthly active users climbed to 125 million.

Sony’s memory outlook suggests it can keep production on track even if demand rises around GTA 6 and the holiday season.
