Gemini is moving into Google Play, and it has front-row seat to your spending habits

Google Pay launched Ask Google Pay in India, an optional Gemini-powered feature that answers spending questions, suggests savings ideas, and explains financial topics.

The tool uses transaction history and credit report data to deliver personalized insights and offers in 10 Indian languages.

Google is also expanding its Flex digital credit card offering through a new partnership with SBI Card.

The move deepens Google Pay’s role beyond payments into AI-driven financial guidance and embedded credit in India.
