US Reportedly Allows 10 Chinese Companies To Buy NVIDIA's Coveted H200 AI Chips

The US Commerce Department reportedly cleared 10 Chinese companies to buy NVIDIA H200 AI chips.

Each firm may purchase up to 75,000 chips, through direct or intermediary sales, according to Reuters.

NVIDIA has not yet delivered any chips, and the buyers reportedly paused purchases after Chinese government guidance.

The move could ease access to advanced AI hardware in China, while underscoring ongoing US export-control tensions.
