I stay safe and protect my hearing with these Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 features

Google added Adaptive Audio and Loud Noise Protection to Pixel Buds Pro 2 major feature update rolled out last September.

Adaptive Audio adjusts noise control dynamically to allow important ambient sounds while reducing other noise blends active noise cancellation and transparency mode and must be enabled manually.

Loud Noise Protection dampens sudden loud external sounds to protect hearing active when Adaptive or Transparency modes allow external noise to pass through.

Pixel Buds app allows users to select Adaptive Audio and other noise modes noise modes can be cycled via on-earbud controls or in the app.

Firmware update may be required to get Adaptive Audio on Pixel Buds Pro 2 check in Pixel Buds app under More settings → Firmware update.
