Intel and ASRock’s HUDIMM Standard Could Finally Make DDR5 Memory Affordable for Budget PC Builders

ASRock, Intel, and Teamgroup introduced new HUDIMM and HSODIMM DDR5 standards designed to cut memory costs for budget PC builders.

The new approach uses a one sub-channel design, aiming to lower pricing while keeping practical performance.

Support is targeted at Intel 600, 700, and 800 series motherboards, expanding DDR5 options for entry-level systems.

If widely adopted, the standards could make DDR5 more affordable and accessible on supported Intel platforms.
