KEPCO Accelerates Power Grid Construction for Semiconductor Industrial Complex in the Honam Region

Korea Electric Power Corp. is accelerating power grid construction to secure timely electricity for the Honam semiconductor industrial complex.

It will deploy new methods such as trenchless construction, long-distance cable laying, and prefabricated power tunnels.

A joint body with the government, local authorities, and private firms will push permits and on-site implementation.

The effort aims to shorten construction time, cut costs, and improve safety and local acceptance.
