The world's oldest existing letterpress printing press is on display at a museum in Belgium

The Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp is displaying two of the world’s oldest surviving letterpress printing presses, made around 1600.

The presses are rare physical evidence of early print technology and the growth of publishing.

They help illustrate how information production and distribution developed in the early modern era.
