Only Astronauts Will See Monday’s Total Solar Eclipse — Stream It Live

A total solar eclipse lasting 57 minutes will be visible only from space.

Four astronauts are aboard Orion — three from NASA and one from the Canadian Space Agency.

Orion entered the Moon’s sphere of influence, where lunar gravity became the dominant force on its trajectory.

The crew will pass behind the Moon and lose communications with mission control in Houston for 40 minutes.
