Rockstar Developers Go Public With First Union

Rockstar Games workers in the UK have launched the company’s first union, the Rockstar Game Workers Union, backed by the IWGB.

The union is pushing for pay transparency, flexible work, and an end to crunch conditions.

Its creation follows the firing of 31 workers in October 2026, which the union calls retaliation for organizing; Rockstar says the dismissals were for gross misconduct.

The move increases pressure on Rockstar and parent company 2K as scrutiny grows ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI.
