"Musk professed his love"...What happened to the 65-year-old Japanese woman who was scammed out of 6.25 million won?

A 31-year-old company employee in Okayama was arrested for allegedly posing as Elon Musk on social media.

He and an accomplice reportedly targeted a 65-year-old woman in Kumamoto, using love messages, fan-card purchases, and AI-generated photos.

Police say the woman was persuaded to send a total of 700,000 yen.

Investigators believe he handled cash withdrawals from the fraud and are probing possible links to an anonymous crime ring.
