The Duffer Brothers’ New Show Hits No. 1 On Netflix’s Top 10 List

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen reached No. 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 after debuting in the top three.

The horror miniseries is led by showrunner Haley Z. Boston and directed by Weronika Tofilska (who directed half the episodes), Axelle Carolyn, and Lisa Brühlmann.

The Duffer brothers' remaining Netflix projects are The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen; they left Netflix mainly to pursue theatrical films.

The Boroughs is a sci‑fi series about a retirement community where a grieving newcomer has a monstrous encounter and a misfit crew uncovers a dark secret; its cast includes Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman and Jenna Malone.

The Boroughs is scheduled for release on May 21, 2026.
