New Backrooms trailer proves it might finally be the horror movie that gets creepypasta right

A24 released the final trailer for Backrooms, its feature adaptation of the viral internet creepypasta.

The trailer expands the lore with new visuals, including the Poolrooms, and shows characters entering the alternate dimension through a doorway in a furniture showroom.

Directed by Kane Parsons, the film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve and opens in theaters on May 29.

The trailer positions Backrooms as a potentially more faithful and effective big-screen creepypasta adaptation than earlier attempts.
