Qualcomm Reveals Two New Affordable Phone Chips With Smooth Motion UI Tech

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 for midrange and budget smartphones.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 adds faster CPU/GPU performance, Smooth Motion UI, AI camera and display features, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and sub-6GHz 5G.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 brings similar Smooth Motion UI benefits, stronger graphics, 90fps gaming support, Dual SIM Dual Active, sub-6GHz 5G, Wi‑Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Honor, Redmi, Oppo, and Realme could launch phones using the chips later this year or in early 2027, depending on OEM rollout.
