UK spy agency releases malware-blocking gadget for HDMI and DisplayPort cables — SilentGlass blocks malicious traffic traveling between display and computer

The UK’s NCSC unveiled SilentGlass at CYBERUK, a plug-and-play hardware device for high-security systems.

SilentGlass blocks potentially malicious signals travelling over HDMI and DisplayPort display connections.

The design has been licensed to Goldilock Labs and is now being made commercially available.

It aims to close a niche but real attack path that could be used to leak or manipulate sensitive data.
