Money Forward reports on the status of resuming bank account linking; compensation is “under consideration”

Money Forward says it is preparing to restart bank account linking that was suspended after unauthorized access to GitHub exposed some development data.

The company will resume the service in stages after technical checks, extra safeguards, and final confirmation with partner financial institutions.

It has already reported the incident to regulators and police, invalidated and reissued credentials, and is rolling out measures to prevent a repeat.

Compensation for affected users is still under consideration.
