KCCSC cancels Kim Seong-geun's appointment as substitute auditor for Visit Korea Committee... accepts court mediation recommendation

The Broadcast Media and Communications Commission revoked the 2023 appointment of Kim Seong-geun as a temporary director of the Munhwa Broadcasting Foundation.

The decision followed the Seoul Administrative Court’s mediation recommendation and the view that there was no basis to keep the appointment in force.

It stems from the finding that the dismissal of former director Kwon Tae-sun was not valid, making the subsequent appointment unnecessary.

The move is seen as a case of correcting a past personnel decision and could affect future governance at broadcasting-related institutions.
