Anthropic’s redesigned Claude Code desktop app lets you burn through tokens even faster

Anthropic has redesigned the Claude Code desktop app with an integrated terminal, rebuilt diff viewer, in-app editor, movable panes, and side chats.

The update also adds routines, plus support for opening HTML and PDF files, and faster response streaming.

The changes are aimed at making multi-agent coding workflows easier to manage and improving Claude Code’s competitiveness with OpenAI Codex.
