AMD splits Zen 7 into three EPYC families for 2028 and starts selling server CPUs by the agent — Florence, Ferrara, and Fidenza to be applied across AI-focused product stack

AMD said its 2028 Zen 7 EPYC lineup will be split into three families: Florence, Ferrara, and Fidenza.

The disclosure came alongside the launch of sixth-gen EPYC Venice CPUs, Instinct MI400 GPUs, and Helios systems at AMD’s Advancing AI 2026 event.

AMD is extending its server roadmap through 2030 and sharpening its pitch around AI-specific data center products.

The company also introduced new AI agent performance claims and changed how it compares CPU power and performance metrics.
