Google claims new Gemini 3.5 Flash runs 4x faster than rival frontier models

Google unveiled Gemini 3.5 Flash at I/O 2026, a faster AI model built for coding and long-horizon task execution.

The company claims Flash runs four times faster than comparable frontier models.

Google also introduced Gemini Spark and Gemini Omni, expanding Gemini into agentic and multimodal video products.

The new models will be available across the Gemini app, Search AI Mode, and Google’s developer and enterprise offerings.
