AMD’s Venice-X CPU launches in 2027 with 1152 MB of 3D V-Cache, 96 cores, and 5.15 GHz boost clock

AMD says its Venice-X Zen 6 data center CPU will launch in the second half of 2027.

The chip is aimed at HPC workloads and is expected to pack 96 cores and boost up to 5.15 GHz.

Venice-X will feature a massive 1,152 MB of 3D V-Cache, plus support for 16-channel memory.

It also targets faster DDR5 RDIMM and MRDIMM bandwidth on the SP7 socket platform.
