3D-printed railway station built overnight in Japan with ABB robot's help

ABB technology and partners built Japan’s first 3D-printed railway station using robotic-printed components assembled overnight.

Structural parts were 3D-printed off-site with an ABB industrial robot, transported to the site, and assembled between the last and first trains.

ABB and Serendix said the method reduced construction time, labor needs, and improved precision compared with traditional methods.
