Gemini for Home voice assistant gets Gemini 3.1 upgrade

Google is upgrading Gemini for Home with Gemini 3.1, bringing stronger reasoning for complex, multi-step smart home commands.

The Home app update should improve handling of devices, alarms, reminders, and calendars in a single request.

Google says Gemini 3.1 is now fully available to early access users.

The company also previewed Ask Home, a web tool for searching camera history, device status, and automations conversationally.
