Tankers come under fire as Iranian forces close Strait of Hormuz over US blockade

Iran said it closed the Strait of Hormuz again after briefly reopening it, citing a U.S. naval blockade and a disputed ceasefire.

Shipping sources reported radio warnings, vessel turnbacks, and gunfire incidents involving tankers near the chokepoint.

The U.S. president warned Iran not to use the strait as leverage.
