200MP iPhone camera rumors align on 2028 release

Apple’s rumored 200MP iPhone telephoto camera is now more likely to debut in 2028, not 2027.

The latest timeline comes from a supply-chain rumor and an investor note cited by Morgan Stanley.

Samsung is expected to supply the sensor, while Sony could also remain part of Apple’s sourcing plans.

If it ships, the 200MP module would be a major camera jump for iPhone telephoto detail, though noise and sensor size remain tradeoffs.
