Gemini for Mac Adds System-Wide Voice Dictation and Screen-Aware Commands

Google updated Gemini for Mac with a long-press Fn shortcut that opens voice mode system-wide.

The new dictation feature cleans up filler words, supports corrections, and is designed for natural speech input.

An opt-in screen-aware mode lets Gemini use on-screen context to help edit, summarize, compose, and generate images.

The update starts in English worldwide and moves Gemini on Mac closer to a hands-free desktop assistant.
