Elon Musk faces criminal probe in France after ignoring summons in X case

French prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation into Elon Musk, X, xAI, and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino.

The case centers on alleged illegal content on X, including child sexual imagery, Holocaust-denial posts, and sexually explicit deepfakes.

The probe was escalated after Musk and Yaccarino missed a voluntary interview in April.

Investigating judges may now try to compel appearances or pursue charges, increasing legal pressure on X in France.
