Meta launched an early beta AI chatbot on Threads in select countries.

Users found that the @meta.ai account cannot be blocked, only muted or hidden.

Meta says users can hide replies or mark the bot as not interested.

The missing block option has triggered backlash over control and trust on social platforms.
