The long-gestating Streets of Rage movie adaptation has tapped Jeymes Samuel to direct.

Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the duo behind the Sonic films, are now writing the script.

The project replaces an earlier draft by Derek Kolstad, with plot and cast details still under wraps.
