Square launches faster next-generation POS '2nd-generation Square Register'

Square will start selling the 2nd-generation Square Register from March 31.

The new model costs ¥99,800 and integrates staff and customer dual screens in one POS terminal.

Hardware upgrades boost processing speed by up to 40% and add IP54 dust and splash protection.

It integrates with Square Handy to manage orders and checkout, and supports cards, QR payments, and e‑money.
