Anthropic splits billing again: Agent SDK gets separate credit pools

Anthropic will separate billing for programmatic Claude usage starting June 15.

Agent SDK apps, claude -p, Claude Code GitHub Actions, and third-party SDK apps will draw from a monthly credit pool.

Credit amounts vary by plan, expire each billing cycle, and users can go to pay-as-you-go API rates if they exceed the pool and have usage credits enabled.

API-key-based Claude Developer Platform accounts are not eligible, and Anthropic will email users on June 8 to claim credits.
