Meta's Superintelligence Lab unveils its first public model, Muse Spark

Meta’s Superintelligence Labs released Muse Spark, the first model in the Muse family.

It is the lab’s first public model, coming less than a year after the lab’s formation.

Meta says Muse Spark is proprietary; Mark Zuckerberg says future Muse releases will include open‑source models.

Current capability links public posts related to locations or trending topics; planned updates will weave Reels, photos, and posts into answers with creator credit and cite recommendations and shared content.

Contemplation mode offers superior performance with comparable latency; standard mode ranks comparable or better than OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI, and Meta will keep investing in long‑horizon agentic systems and coding workflows.
