Fan Project To Save LittleBigPlanet Shuts Down As Allegations Of DDoS Attacks And Bigotry Fly

A fan-made private-server project for LittleBigPlanet 3, LBPOnline, was announced after Sony and Sumo Digital shut down the game’s online servers.

Before launch, subreddit posts and shared files accused project members, including Ayee and Epic, of earlier DDoS attacks and anti-LGBTQ remarks.

The backlash quickly grew across Reddit, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and X, and the project shut down.
