Modern Warfare 4 announced: This year’s Call of Duty is skipping PS4 and coming to Switch 2

Activision announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for October 23, launching only on current-gen platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

It is the first Modern Warfare built without PS4 or Xbox One support, and the first Call of Duty announced for Nintendo Switch 2.

Infinity Ward says the game will include campaign, multiplayer, and DMZ modes, plus new combat systems and returning character Captain Price.

The campaign is set around conflict in Korea, a detail already drawing attention for possible regional controversy.
