Instagram Is Testing Optional 'AI Creator' Labels

Meta is testing an optional Instagram "AI creator" label for accounts that regularly post AI-generated or AI-edited content.

The label can appear on profiles, posts, and Reels, and is designed to be clearer than the current "AI info" badge.

Unlike the badge, which only suggests AI may have been used, the new label aims to more directly disclose AI-altered content.

The change could improve transparency, but because it is voluntary and detection is imperfect, some AI posts may still go unlabeled.
