Apple Defends Google Against EU Proposal to Give AI Rivals Access to Services

Apple submitted feedback to the European Commission opposing draft EU rules that would force Google to let rival AI services interact with Android apps.

Apple said the proposed Android AI interoperability measures could create serious privacy, security, safety, and performance risks, and harm device integrity.

Google has also objected to the draft measures, and the Commission will review the submissions before deciding next steps.
