Alibaba's Qwen team launched Qwen3.7-Max, a proprietary model built for long-horizon autonomous work.

The company says it ran for about 35 hours on an engineering optimization task with more than 1,000 tool calls and a 10x speedup.

Qwen3.7-Max can plug into external tool harnesses like Claude Code and was trained with environment scaling for extended agent workflows.

The release highlights Alibaba's push into agentic AI that can rival U.S. labs, while reinforcing a move toward closed, paid model access.
