AEON freezes prices on 3,500 food items

Aeon will keep prices unchanged for about 3,500 Topvalu private-label food items through Aug. 31.

The move applies across roughly 10,000 group stores and includes staples such as cooking oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, and cup noodles.

Aeon said it will absorb rising costs by cutting expenses in raw materials and distribution.

The decision could help ease household burdens amid persistent inflation and influence retail pricing strategies.
