XChat App Now Available

X launched XChat, a standalone messaging app for iPhone and iPad on the U.S. App Store.

The app separates chat from the main X app and supports direct and group messaging, voice and video calls, and file sharing.

XChat also adds privacy-focused features like disappearing messages, message editing and deletion, and screenshot alerts.

It is free, requires iOS 26.0 or later, and Android support has not been announced.
