Notepad++ Creator Calls Out 'Fake' Mac App Over Trademark Violation

Notepad++ creator Don Ho said an unofficial macOS app is using the trademark without permission.

He stressed the app is not authorized, affiliated, or an official Notepad++ Mac version.

Developer Andrey Letov said he will change the app’s name, logo, and domain in an upcoming release.

The dispute raises branding and trust issues around the popular open-source editor port.
