Apple Intelligence briefly appeared for some iPhone users in mainland China on Tuesday, then was pulled back.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said the rollout was accidental, not an official launch.

Apple has not yet secured regulatory approval in China, and no imminent release is expected.

The episode suggests the feature may be technically ready, but approval remains the main hurdle.
