Anthropic launches Opus 5

Anthropic has launched Opus 5, its next flagship model.

The company says Opus 5 is cheaper, less restricted, and stronger than Fable 5 on several benchmarks.

A new Automatic Fallbacks beta will route blocked requests to a weaker model instead of returning an error.

The release gives enterprise and API users a more capable flagship option with fewer safety-related interruptions.
