Motorola Beats Apple And Samsung: The Razr Ultra 2026 Debuts Innovative Battery Tech

Motorola launched the Razr Ultra 2026 in the U.S. with a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 80W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging.

The Razr Fold also uses silicon-carbon battery tech, with a 6,000mAh battery, while the standard Razr+ and Razr got capacity bumps only.

Motorola is now the first major U.S. smartphone brand to ship silicon-carbon batteries, a move that could help phones gain capacity without getting thicker.

The launch may pressure Apple, Google, Samsung, and others to adopt the higher-density battery chemistry in future devices.
